When it comes to growing, some plants just need a bit more support. The solution is staking. For single-branch plants, choose a single stake and loosely tie using twine or strips of cloth. 

A tepee trellis twined together at the top is great for peas, cucumbers, and other vining plants. For plants that spread out, use a cage and give them all the support they need.
