During the war we did it so the troops would have enough food. Today we’re the troops in the battle. Growing our own food means we have to go out less, order in less, and have complete control over as much of our food supply as possible.
Taking care of your garden is therapeutic, too. There are as many ways to get started as there are front yards and backyards. Here are some tips on starting a raised bed; on a kitchen herb garden; on interplanting veggies and annuals; a cool new trend; and on window box gardening, since we know that millions of people are also sheltering in place in apartments.
